“Excuse me, can you talk to fairies?” This question came right out of the blue as I was wrapping up a talk I’d been invited to give by a spiritual group in Bournemouth. A lovely bunch of people. The talk was on spiritual paths and, showing rare self-discipline, I hadn’t strayed off at too many psychic tangents, as I normally do. So, after discussing various topics related to spiritual development, this question caught me completely off guard. Can you talk to fairies? A delicious question. Self-discipline thrown to the winds, I dived into the topic with all the relish I usually reserve for chocolate truffles or a decent bottle of Merlot. Oh yes, can I talk to fairies……..
You know, we share this small planet with a huge number of unseen realms, each with its own inhabitants creating their own reality – Just as we do. I personally feel that these realms and dimensions fold into a common space that we all share. We literally live in the same space as fairies and a host of mythical races and creatures, our worlds folding into each other. Like radio stations, each realm has its own frequency or wavelength and unless you tune into that frequency, either intentionally or by accident, as is often the case when some unfortunate experiments with drugs and crashes into another dimension, then you wouldn’t be aware of how many different form of existence consider this planet to be home. These realms have one thing in common: a deep relationship with Gaia. Mother earth is a multi-dimensional lady who adores all of the creations that dwell upon and within her. She is a hugely evolved planetary soul formed into a complex, holistic bio-sphere that can accommodate countless different life forms so that we can all experience this glorious game of life. Gaia’s many realms and dimensions are meant to be inter-related and inter-dependent, but humankind lost the plot a long time ago and separated itself from Gaia through its own selfishness. Selfishness blinkers you considerably from the beauties of the world around you and humankind, so intent on meeting its ever growing needs, forgot how to tune the radio dial into anything else but its own lonely, sorry frequency and lost sight of the other realms through its own self-absorption.
However, there are still some among us who have “the sight” and strive for a good working relationship and friendship with the fairy realms. I’m particularly pleased with the recent interest in all things “fairy”. Though there is a definite “pink fluffiness” to many modern fairy products, they do serve to inspire our long-forgotten connection with the other worlds that fold into ours.
Fairies, or elemental beings if you prefer, have been around since the very beginning of our world. In fact, they helped to create it! In quite a literal sense, planet Earth is composed of the alchemical elements of earth, air, fire and water. The weaving of these elements to form our world was an act of pure cosmic magic that was overseen by a specialised team of higher-dimensional beings, archangels, angels and elementals. Elemental beings, as the name implies, are a pure energy form related to one of the four elements. For example, “sylphs” are air elementals, “gnomes” are from the element of earth, while “salamander” are fire sprites and the “undine” dwell in the element of water. As energy forms, they work closely with the angels in aiding all natural growth on this planet and helping all forms of life fulfil their potential. Elementals help maintain the energetic form of our world, ensuring that the energy of creation cycles is channelled into stimulating and nurturing new growth. I am certain that life on our world would not survive without the diligence of elementals. I have to say, they have particularly strong views on the way humankind has systematically poisoned and plundered the natural resources of its home.
Fairies have great wisdom which they are more than willing to share if you have the humility to listen. They have great insight into how all the realms of our world can live in harmony and mutually benefit each other. They know much about the way our world fits into the larger cosmic plan and they are able to communicate with many of the other worlds in our galaxy and beyond. They know much about the past and future of humankind and are actively trying to aid us in the exciting evolutionary process we are currently undergoing.
Fairies guard our sacred sites, maintain our leylines and protect the hidden places of the world which house secrets that must not be revealed to humankind until the time is right. Their magical powers are legendary as they harness the powers of creation in their work for Mother Earth. If they consider you worthy, they often impart magical techniques that can assist in manifesting your dreams.
Important in my work, fairies guard the doorways to other earthly realms and I seek their permission and aid in travelling through these doorways to the realms beyond where higher wisdom and guidance can be sought.
However, mystical fairy powers aside, the fairy folk do have a more personal relationship with humankind. Elementals treat us like any other life form on the planet and supervise our growth and development. In accordance with angelic direction, fairies also come to give us the inspiration and guidance we need at specific points in our lives. They inspire creativity, especially in music, dance and the arts, and encourage us to aspire to greater goals. If we call upon the elementals to aid us, they can provide us with the necessary energy and strength to fulfil an ambition or realise a dream. Fairies are wonderful at manifestation.
I know some people worry about communication with fairy folk. There are many folklore tales of fairy deception, curses and mischief towards humans. Well, it is true that, over the course of Earth’s history, the original, pure elementals have sometimes evolved into other races of fairy beings, such as elves, who have more personality about them. These races of fairies do protect themselves when they feel threatened. Also, in some forms of darker magic, there are techniques for the capture and enslavement of fairies. These fairies are then forced to do dark deeds contrary to their normal behaviour. Fairies have told me that they do not curse people. However, any negative act against a fairy accumulates a significant amount of instant karma so that the person feels cursed.
In my experience, if you’re coming from a place of love and light, then the fairies you encounter will be as light-filled and wonderful as the ones I’ve met. A relationship with fairies is never instantaneous. It requires patience and humility. You must earn their trust. If they feel you’re out to get what you can from them, the relationship will be short-lived. But, if you have the desire and the patience, fairy friendships will slowly grow into a life-changing experience. There are places to be taken to, secrets to be told and aid to be offered. They will ask for your aid in return and you must give freely.
Getting back to that gentleman’s delicious question, yes, I can and do talk to fairies on a daily basis. A sylph recently sent me a little money that I needed for a family holiday. A sylph also helped baby Tom get into a regular sleep pattern when he’d been through a long period of restless nights. A fiery salamander gave us the energy to start the magazine you are currently reading. The river undine regularly cleanse me of negative energy and, last week, an earth elemental took Julie, Tom and I to a wood near Bodmin Moor where an ancient totem tree presented me with a very unusual wand.
What can I say? Life’s an adventure.
