A word from our editor, Julie Hand
Spring is here and Mother Earth is really showing us what she is made of. The past week or so has shown me images ranging from lush, moss-covered meadows, daffodils in bloom and brand new lambs frolicking in the fields to ravaging storms with gales and floods. As if the universe is playing out a micro version of the bigger cycle of birth and death. The dance of Shiva, creator and destroyer, dancing on.
Although our calendar New Year began in January, the astrological New Year begins now with Aries, and this time of year truly is about new life and potentiality. It is a time of playfulness and a time to re-connect with nature after the darkness and stillness of winter – but it’s also about cleansing and removing what is unwanted in order to move forward lighter and able to absorb the new. In between the storms, you can almost hear Gaia singing as the air and seas become still, and the colours of the earth become vibrant. Balance in everything. Cycles within cycles.
The 21st March sees a return to balance between night and day as the cycle of the year brings us to the Spring Equinox and we can turn our thoughts to ways to bring harmony into our own lives, and into our Self, allowing us to move forward into the year in the best way possible to allow the seeds we have planted to come to fruition.
I hope you can find some inspiration for all of this among our latest articles which include cleansing for home and body; ways to connect with nature by celebrating Ostara (Spring Equinox), and talking to fairies, plus a look at laughteryoga to bring in some of the playfulness. Other features include Mediumship, a channelled message on our evolution and, in the News section, we look at another new therapy being offered locally which is Network Spinal Analysis.
We have also added some earth energy events to our Whats On section so check out sacred sites events with Peter Knight and, finally, look out for our new Therapist Directory which will be up and running at the end of March. Spring Blessings
