Welcome to Hermits Bazaar. ...and welcome to the beginning of summer. One of the Universal Laws says “As Above. So Below” and last month the Spring Equinox brought us a perfect balance of light and dark, prompting us to take our cue from nature and find such balance in our lives as we moved out of our winter hibernation and into the activities of Spring.
Now with Beltane upon us, and father Sun rising higher in the sky, the sacred fire reminds us that we have this same fire burning within us. It can fuel us with the motivation to move forwards with our projects for the year, just as the sun feeds the shoots of the seeds so recently planted.
If we choose to, we can learn so much from the nature around us. Just one look at the blossom in the trees or a primrose flower peeking up from the ground and I am struck by how short a time they are on the earth – and in that time their purpose is simply to BE WHAT THEY ARE. Their purpose is in their very presence and they follow their natural purpose in utter grace, beauty and stillness, offering it up to all who pass, without question. So allow your natural cycle to unfold and just BE….
This is a the natural time of year for cleansing and shedding our winter skins – be this internal, external or energetic - and we hope you find something to inspire you amongst our fabulous articles on the value of Water, the ancient art of Qi Gong and a look at Ethical Living. As Pierre Pradervand says in his article, which first appeared in Cygnus Magazine in January, "... simplifying one’s life is a source of deep joy. Uncluttering one’s existence is a very powerful spiritual tool!". We also feature articles exploring the folklore and spirit of Beltane, and a brief word about the Doctrine of Signatures. Please also take a look at the News Section which has items on a new healing service being offered in Springbourne for donations only, and a call for lightworkers interested in being involved in a revolutionary new theatre production based on the 2012 prophecies and crystal skulls.
I leave you with a rhyme, written anonymously, which reminds us of the important role of the bees at this time of year when all of nature is flowering. A crucial and fundamental element of life on earth, which is fast disappearing. A swarm of bees in May Is worth a load of hay; A swarm of bees in June Is worth a silver spoon; A swarm of bees in July Is not worth a fly.
Many thanks once again to our contributors and you, our readers. May the seeds of possibility flourish in your heart.
Beltane Blessings x
